This week we’ve been on a roll by turning questions on their head so let’s add one more to round out the week. When you talk about your company and your products in your marketing, are you telling customers WHAT it is you do or are you telling them WHY you’re doing it?
There’s a distinct difference between the two and the WHY, truthfully, is the far more powerful because it taps into the customers’ emotions. And if you can tap into and connect with customers emotionally then you go from being a commodity brand – something that customer can easily replace with a similar brand – to a brand they are loyal to. And as small business owners isn’t that what we’re striving for?
