First and foremost, thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in the first ever Small Food Business Reader Survey. I really appreciate the time you all took to share with me a little bit more about who you are, where you are in your business’ life cycle, and what I can do to improve this site.
My goal all along with this site has been to make it a valuable resource for artisan food entrepreneurs and that means that I need to provide you with the information and support you need. As such, in the coming weeks and months you’ll be seeing some changes to this site:
- A free monthly Small Food Business e-Newsletter! Based on your feedback, you can opt in to receive a free monthly e-newsletter that will be packed with all the information that doesn’t make it into this site on a monthly basis. The e-newsletter will contain links to the top food news from around the world, small business information, practical marketing tips you easily put into action, and highlight the favorite articles published on this site in the prior month. The first issue will be sent out in the beginning of June and if you’d like to add your name to the list you can sign up here.
- More articles about marketing, funding, branding, etc….
- More interviews with experts in a variety of topics including co-packing, packaging design, cottage food laws, etc…
- Online courses on a variety of topics – at this point I’m thinking these will debut in the Fall as I’m researching the best online training software options. My goal is to be able to offer interactive classes that can be recorded so that if you can’t make the actual training time you can watch it later (I know how busy you are!) and have all of this at a price that meets your small business budget needs. So stay tuned for more information.
Thank you again for all of your feedback and I hope going forward I can take your suggestions and make Small Food Business an even stronger site that can help you as you grow your businesses. As always, feel free to contact me directly at info (at) smallfoodbiz (dot) com with any thoughts, questions, or comments.
