The reason for this site, and everything I do in this business, stems from one basic principle. The fact that it is so darn hard for food entrepreneurs to find the information and resources they need to be successful in this industry ticks me off.
Which is why I’m really excited about the Food Brand Summit. I’ve partnered with Matt Aaron, of Food Startups Podcast, who shares my annoyance at the industry putting up walls to prevent newcomers from entering the market, and together we are hosting the industry’s first online food business summit. Here’s a little more about it and why I think you should attend:
One full day of food business education seminars from experts and people who have been in your shoes like Seth Goldman of Honest Tea.
One full day of online buyer pitches where you can pitch your products to buyers, brokers, and distributors from around North America. Best of all, you interact directly with the buyers who are interested in your company – we aren’t middlemen and we aren’t going to take a commission or cut of your sales.
Save a ton of time and money. Trade shows can be exciting but they can also cost thousands of dollars to attend and that’s a risk that’s not palatable to many small and growing food brands. With Food Brand Summit you can attend the conference from the comfort of your home or office but still be able to interact with our experts via live Q&A sessions and pitch to buyers.
I hope you’ll join us on May 4th and 5th for this one-of-a-kind food industry event. Check out the Food Business Summit website for more information and when you’re ready to sign up, use coupon code FBSEARLY to save $75 on your registration fee.
As always, if you have any questions about this event please feel free to shoot me an email at info (at) smallfoodbiz (dot) com.
