A Study To Determine If Food Really Is Medicine

traditional marketingA really interesting state-funded study in California is taking a close look at whether what food chronically ill people and those recovering from major illnesses has an impact on their recovery times and medical costs. Covered in a really interesting story in the New York Times, this study is similar to some smaller ones that have taken place in other states that seems to show that healthful food can have a large impact on consumers’ mental and physical health.

Granted, many of us reading already believe this to be true – but scientific studies can only help validate the importance of healthy foods and real ingredients for consumers. It certainly is an interesting time in food!
