Instagram Offers Longer-Format Videos

The social media landscape was a buzz last week when Instagram announced that they’d now be allowing longer-format videos onto their platform. Until now, videos have been limited to a minute maximum. Moving forward, however, Instagram will allow creators the option of loading videos that are up to an hour in length. Best of all, anyone can be a creator – it’s not something reserved just for celebrities (as a note, Instagram said this may not yet be available to everyone but it’s coming soon).

Without a doubt, Instagram is going after YouTube with this move in an effort to capture even more eyeballs. At latest reports, Instagram has 1 billion users so that’s a lot of folks who could be seeing your material. Can video really help food businesses?
